[K12OSN] [K12Ltsp] k12ltsp server as an internet firewall / access point

Dear Folks,
	one of my expensive firewall / vpn / everything applaiances got
fried. i am not thrilled with spending money on a new one. i was thinking
of putting a k12ltsp server in its place. any advice on config? (firewall
set to strict, right?) any gotchas? i have t1 internet connect and a bunch
of computers (40+) there.converting them to terminals is the next step.
for the time being i need internet and remote site connectivity with a
decent firewall. on first blush it seems that the k12ltsp serverwill do
the job, but i have to get one going right away, without testing
beforehand. any advice appreciated. julius

p.s. would i be better off putting a $70 smc barricade router in front?
