I have successfuly enabled all isa soundblasters and ESS cards simply by 
uncommenting the line in the original lts.conf file.  

I belive you are missing IRQ and DMA settings in your config.  Sorry I do not 
have them handy but maybe you can reference the original lts.conf file.

Now if I can only get the sound in KDE to work....
