[K12OSN] Differences between K12-LTSP and core LTSP version?

I've been looking for answers to this, but haven't been able to find any
at all.  What exactly is the difference in features/usability/configuration/
etc between the base LTSP (3.x) and the K12-LTSP sub-project (2.x)?

I'm just getting involved with the K12 version, and am unaware of what changes
have been made to the software, and any differences in management from what is
in the core LTSP docs.
