I have been looking for a solution for this also.

The issues I have are ;

1.) User root@server.ltsp remotely reboots a terminal aftter modifying
it's config

2.) Turn all terminals OFF for the night (those without active logins.)

3.) cron job on server.ltsp wakes terminals in groups in the morning.

4.) Any terminal can be woken before wake-time by pressing the power
button.

It would be brilliant to have a little 'control panel' to do all this.
 Can the NICs be configured to wake on a certain type of ethernet packet ?

steve
