I'd like to chime in as well with support for the 3Ware product line.  I
use them exclusively now and am very happy with both the quality of the
product and their support of it.  Having personally used a number of other
IDE RAID hardware on Linux in the past, my opinion is that 3Ware provides
the greatest benefit for the cost.
