Alan,
I have the "REAL"experience you are looking for. Had a similar problem until
last night. Problem was in lts.conf.

Solution:

Open a console window
switch to root with su -
Type in your root password
Type tail -f /var/log/messages
Restart Jammin 125 somewhere on the system.

Watch your console window and you should see a bunch of messages scroll past
as the Jammin tries to log on.
Watch for three things:
The mac address (should aslo be printed on the back of the Jammin)
The ip address that your ltsp assigns.
The workstation name your ltsp assings. (something like w002)

Open another console window
Switch to root with su-
Type in password
edit the file lts.conf with a simple word editor.
I use the editor joe- so my command looks like this
	joe /opt/ltsp/i386/etc/lts.conf

look down this file to the section just below the defaults.
(this should be just below the first horizontal dashed line)

This is where you should add the XF86_5530 as specified in the instructions.
enter the mac adress of the Jammin, not the workstaton name or ip address
	[00:??:??:??:??:??]
	XSERVER  = SF86_5530
Save and exit.
Reboot the Jammin and see if it works.

Mine didn't!!!! so here is where it got interesting!

I noticed that the Jammin was assigned an IP adress by my dhcp that was also
entered into my lts.conf file lower down in lts.conf for another machine. I
commented out that IP address and config info in the lts.conf file and
rebooted Jammin and it worked!

Look carefully at your lts.conf file and make sure that your Jammin is not
getting specified twice, once by mac adress and again by either the
workstation name or ip address.

Hope this helps!
