Hey list,

Anyone ever added another language in OO?

I installed OO from the rpms on the k12ltsp 2.11 CD and everything works
in english. I have users who would like to be able to use OO in
spanish. I downloaded the spanish version of OO and the spanish
dictionary. And when I ran the setup program from the english OO
directory, the option to modify the installation was greyed out. So I
couldn't add the spanish dict.

After installing the spanish version (to a different directory) I was
able to run OO in spanish, but it was set to use the english dicts.
When I ran the setup program from the spanish directory it had the
option to modify the installation, but I could find no place to add the
dict.

What am I missing. I copied the .aff and .dic files from the spanish
tarball to the same locations that the other .aff and .dic files already
were

something like:

/usr/share/OpenOffice/user/wordbook/
(from memory so probably not quite right)

Anyway, if anyone has been down this road already...any travel hints are
gladly accepted. Otherwise, I'll just keep trying.

Peace,
Jimmy Schwankl
