If your ISP supports it, you can load balance two modems with PPP & the EQL
driver. You'll have to call your ISP to find out (and the front-line techs
certainly won't know, you'll have to bug them until they forward you to someone
with a clue).

I have been modem-free(TM) since 1996, so I'm a bit rusty this stuff myself ;-)

I found a copy of the serial IP load balancing HOWTO in the kernel source,
generally found at: /usr/src/linux/Documentation/networking/eql.txt

and there's a short mention of it in the NET-3-HOWTO:
http://linux.dbw.org/HOWTO/NET-3-HOWTO-6.htm

Search for Linux & EQL on Google for more...
