You might have to uninstall one before installing the other.  Also from
the command line you can install more than one at a time to solve
dependencies.

rpm -Uvh is often preferred (U for upgrade, v for verbose and h for neat
little hash mark things)

rpm -Fvh * will take every rpm in the current directory and upgrade the
corresponding package IF it is already installed (F for freshen)
