Hi David,

Open a console window.

Type in the following where anything in [ ] brackets requires a variable of your choosing eg. 65536

echo [file-max setting] > /proc/sys/fs/file-max

This changes the setting on the server.

To set this as default at startup you need to change the the file-max line in

/etc/sysctl.conf
