I have a complaint. My terminals are running too fast and they=92re also
being annoyingly resourceful =3D). Seriously, I=92m running Gnome with
Mozilla and the crossover server on 60 clients (along with the verynice
script). At any given time there are 35-40 users logged into the
terminals (not necessarily in use, but logged in). What=92s really =
getting
my attention is my memory usage. Only about 1.5 gig of 4 gig is being
used. These terminals have been under _heavy_ usage for the past two
days. I have one setup in my office and am using it for my workstation
with no complaints whatsoever (I have a laptop I use to burn cd=92s and =
do
the rest of my work since I always end up giving my workstations away).
It=92s running great. I went over to the building and talked to the
teachers and peered in some classrooms. They are indeed using the
terminals and they have had no problems. Things are way too good to be
true. I keep getting my information by running =93top=94. How accurate =
is
top? I=92m just very curious as to why things are running so smoothly
while using very little resources. Perhaps I=92ve been doing something
wrong in the past and accidentally got it right this time. I=92d like to
know what it was if that=92s the case. Thanks.
