[K12OSN] Monitor trouble

I have started a project at our school using a nice dell server and some
new dell machines. The dells came with a E551 dell 15" monitor that is
giving me trouble.
I can manually put in a modeline for the workstation that will give me
800x600 resolution, but haven't had success with anything higher. The
manual for the monitor didn't provide and specific frequency information.
I found the 800x600 modeline on another list serve I found when I search
google for modelines for my monitor.
I am using the new k12ltsp beta and am not very familiar with how the
script works that automatically generates the XF86Config. Is there
anything that I can do to utilize the "powers" of that script so that
these monitors can be automatically detected? I feel sure that I can get
a modeline for the monitor tomorrow, I just hope that I won't have to add
a line in the lts.conf file to support each one.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
