Hello Folks,
This weekend we released the 2.0 version of K12LTSP.
K12LTSP is a Linux terminal server package that lets you extend the life
of older or donated PC's or install new ones at under $200 each. It's
completely free.
One new feature in this release is Rdesktop. It lets you run Windows
Terminal sessions right on your Linux desktop either in a window or in
full screen mode. This makes K12LTSP a great way to deploy Windows
Terminal clients as you get all the benefits of a Linux desktop in
addition to the ability to run Windows applications.
Downside: While sound is supported for Linux applications in K12LTSP
2.0, Windows 2000 Terminal service does not support sound. You also have
to purchase licenses for the Windows server and clients.
