David,
i'm setting one now just for kicks (i can't test, because i don't
have oki10e)
printtool, que name something, type jetdirect, queue type: "raw",
driver hp hp laserjet 4 (IMPORTANT: driver name is ljet4 - you will need
it for ghostscript),
now, spadmin, add printer, driver laserjet4? (is oki10e a
postscript printer? if so - skip ghostscript, if not - continue) command
without gs would be lpr -Psomething, with gs is:
gs -q -sDEVICE=ljet4 -sOutputFile="|lpr -Psomething" -
the "ljet4" driver is the actual connection between the system printer
definition and the ghostscript *.ps translation.
the minus sign at the end of the command line is necessary. Voila!
print test page, proceed to next printer. it sucks, but it sort of works.
sort of, because there is no way that i know of to have 'default printer'
defined on per user basis, there should be no need to define the printers
by hand, it all should be script driven from actual print definitions.
next life. good luck, julius
p.s i went and defined the printers tonight - all 4 work fine.
