Hi all folks,

Summing up other folks' comment I prepare hereinunder a revised proposal:

Remark: value to be filled in later
=======================

Case Study: Investment for 20 new workstations, conventional computer VS
diskless workstations
Date:

3) Documentation
a) Decide a naming scheme for workstations for rapid locate of a problem
machine.
b) Fix a name label on each workstation
c) Terminal inventory sheet:

4) Installation cost
a) Server 1 unit
b) Workstations 20 units

5) Maintenance cost
a) Server one Adminstrator/month
b) Workstations one Technician/month

6) Running cost
Electricity per month

DISKLESS NETWORKING

1) Server
Spec
Pentium IV 2 Ghz
Motherboard RAID 0+1 with built-in Video card and NIC
Memory (RAM) DDR266, 2GB
HDD 4 x 60 GB
DVD Writer
FDD 3.5'
Monitor Nil (shared with a diskless workstation on setup)
Keyboard
PS/2 Mouse
Case

Licence fee Linux Free
                         OpenOffice Free

                         Iptables Free
                         KOnCD Free

Backup Device DVD Writer

2) Diskless workstation (Or get it from market)
Spec
Pentium P II Cel 600 Hz
Motherboard with built-in Video card
Memory (RAM) SD133, 64 MB
HDD not required
FDD 3.5'
Ethernet card (NIC) with boot ROM
Monitor 17'
Keyboard
PS/2 Mouse
Case

Software installation not required

3) Documentation
a) Decide a naming scheme for workstations for rapid locate of a problem
machine.
b) Fix a name label on each workstation
c) Terminal inventory sheet:

4) Installation cost
a) Server 1 unit
b) Workstations 20 units

5) Maintenance cost
a) Server one Adminstrator/month
b) Workstations not necessary

6) Running cost
Electricity per month
(heat generated will reduce resulting in less air
conditioning consumpted and less
  noisy)
