[K12OSN] Case & motherboard issues

(IBM NetVista H32-HS case & Intel MO810e motherboard)
I have just recently tried to marry the above items and have run into
some
issues. First, the case cutouts for the ports do not match with the
ports
located on the board so I had to remove the cutout section (clips into
the case) from the case. This works but leaves a big rectangle hole
where the knockout/port plate was! Second, the pin configurations for
the front USB and switch/LED's do not match up with the pin
configurations on the motherboard. Has anyone else had these problems?
Another question I have is concerning the memory for the motherboard.
The documentation for the board indicates it prefers SPD (serial
presence detection) but will run with non-SPD. How do you know if the
latest memory from PNY or Kingston has SPD or not?

Thanks,
Glenn
