I installed most of the font packages you had that I did not. With the
JA, KO, CN, etc. fonts installed, the page does not immediately crash
mozilla and the non-Roman characters display correctly. Mozilla _does_
still crash when I select both Roman and non-Roman characters, with
the same gdk errors in strace as previously.

I couldn't find these packages besides in the 2.1.2 release. Do these
make a difference if I'm using XFS?
