Myles,

I was able to put SchoolMation to run on SME Server !
I started to learn about SM (I really liked some screens!) but have some
problems...

1) I was unable to upload pictures... I got:

Warning: open_basedir restriction in effect. File is in wrong directory in
/home/e-smith/files/ibays/escola/html/sm/admin/upfile.php on line 20
catherinezetajones6.jpg could not be copied


2) I think you need to enhance your ADD USERs section... to allow  enter
thousands of users more quickly... maybe even use a import tool (from CSV!).
There is a consistent problem with SM: when you add/edit something it show
what you do, but do now allow you to do it again for a new user/course...

3) I was unable to change language (but discovered by read some files that
there is support to portuguese!)
Now I´ll check on .php files... the linux way! :-)

4) On schedules to show begin to end I think would be better to show
8:00~9:45 than 8:00:9:45

5) I´d like to use another database (PostgreSQL) and don´t like to edit .php
files and put password there... isn´t secure... if a student discover
that... WOW! BIG problems!

I´m studing/testing it right now... I´ll have some new tips to you (if you
like...)
