I would like to try out xfce on a terminal but i'm having trouble just
starting it on Mandrake 7.2.
Once i loaded the package, i launch the desktop like this:
xfce
I get this error message:
Gtk-Warning **: cannot open display
man xfce says if i use telnet or rlogin, i need to set the DISPLAY env.
Do i need to set this environment variable if i am at the console? If so
how do i do this and what would be the argument.

There is also a argument for xfce, -- display host:dpy
No sample stating what host and dpy values could be used.

I looked quickly at www.xfce.org for a faq sheet but did'nt find one.
