Howdy

Check that the machine has not lost it's domain membership.

Try rejoin it with:

smbpasswd -j DOMAIN -U username

My Mandrake boxes ceased to be members of the domain of their own acccord
every now and again, but an upgrade to the latest Samba 2.2.7a seemed to kick
that habit.
