SO6 Beta and OO 6.4.1 are significantly different in lots of subtle ways -
in particular, it was easy to identify the beta as beta - lots of loose
ends, incomplete dialogs, etc. vs. OpenOffice appears to be a much more
polished product. There are still things that do not work, such as printing
to tabloid size paper, but in general, things are much better. AND MS
Office compatibility is moved up a significant notch - things that did not
translate correctly, like Word bullets, now work, and cells in the
spreadsheet with >256 characters do not blow up Excel when you read the
file in Excel.
