I agree...this is a big problem for me. It's primarily browsers and
nautilus stuff that hangs for me. I have chosen a different line other
than the default in icewm preferences where the Logout section is....I
chose the && pkill line and added galeon-bin and phoenix-bin to that line.
It works great to kill off galeon, but phoenix still won't die. Is it my
imagination or does 3.x seem to have more hanging issues than 2.1.x did?
As for my flash problem...a little more background. I install
flash...doesn't matter what browser...I use both Phoenix and Galeon....for
Phoenix..flash goes into the .../phoenix/plugins folder.....for Galeon it
goes into the mozilla-1.2.1 plugins folder. As root....it works
flawlessly. As another user....I can use flash (ie: play a game) until I
need to use the "back" button on my browser or try to close the
browser....then it freezes the browser. I can still log out of Icewm so
not all is lost, but this flash issue is driving me bonkers! What I've
done for now is enable flash for Galeon since I'm able to get galeon to
die when the user logs off in icewm....phoenix won't.
So.......................any more ideas? All permissions on the plugins
and the dirs are set at 755....changing them to 777 solves nothing. Owner
is root. I'm using K12LTSP 3.01. Is it possible to allow all users to
use flash as root? if so..how? Remember...as root everything works fine.
