I would estimate you would be using somewhere around 1.8 gig for all 40 
workstations.  Not sure what CPU (s) your using so I can't speak 
intelligent about processor power.  Wouldn't hurt to add a couple, 
monitor for a few days, then add a couple more, monitor some more so on 
and so fourth.  Is this an all or nothing scenario? or can you ease into 
it?  Top is your friend.  :)
