[K12OSN] Trouble starting client

Hi, I've installed K12LTSP2.0.2 on a server(Dell GXa PII-400) single NIC,
and my client(Dell GXa PII-300, on board PCI3C905 10/100) appears to
connect,
I get a screen full of messages as it boots, the last lines say...

Running /linuxrc
Mounting /proc
linuxrc installing 3C59X driver
Mounting root filesystem /opt/ltsp/i386 from 192.168.0.254
and the client hangs...
The server log reports a DHCPdiscover, offer, request, ack,
DHCPdiscover, offer, request, & ack
for the correct mac addr.
The client is starting from a boot disk, I've tried 3c905-tpo.lzdsk plus
10 others...
I'm stuck... and tired, any suggestions?
