Hi Peter,

If i read this correctly, you are using SAMBA as a PDC.

This may be the cause of the problem.

Check that SAMBA is using encrypted passwords. If not you will get a login 
failure. Win95 used plain passwords later versions changed to encrypted 
passwords.
