I don't recall coming across any tools for configuring AMANDA, but it's 
really pretty straightforward. I'm using it to back up several Linux 
servers as well as a couple of Windows NT servers. I've had to restore a 
couple of drives from scratch, and the software worked as advertised 
(the operator, on the other hand... :).
