Another option is to generate a DOS executable image.

Go to http://www.rom-o-matic.org, pick the latest stable release, and
when you are filling out the form to generate the ROM, set the ROM output
format to "DOS Executable ROM Image (.com)".

With the dos format, you can run it from autoexec.bat on DOS (freeDOS!)
formatted hard drive. Then when you boot off the hard drive it'll immediately
run the boot rom to boot into Linux.
