Hi John,

There should already be a group called games on the server.

Remove the global permissions for the games folder, and games in that
folder, eg, from rwxr-xr-x to rwxr-x---

You may even be able to change permissions on the menu links. 

These can be found in /etc/X11/applnk for the KDE menus, I'm not sure
where they are located for the Gnome menus.

Add all of the 'good' students to the games group, and the 'naughty'
students are not members of that group.

That should stop their little shenanigans.
