Amanda seems to be a popular choice for network backups.  I understand it's
not the easiest thing to configure but apparently once you have it working
it's solid:

I'm a big fan of Mondo Rescue, which backs up to just about anything:

flexbackup looks like another good alternative.  I recall it was simple to
configure:
