Hi James,

I absolutely agree with your comments above. I am definitely not the
moderator of this list and I wasn't trying to act as moderator. The more
diverse the mix of perspectives and questions on the list, the more we
all benefit.

I give my help and knowledge to any and all who need it and I don't
expect or require any thing in return. (Not even any particular email
format :-) )

I did make a suggestion to use a format that produces the best understood
form of a subject thread in an email list.

It was only a suggestion, and it was phrased politely with no criticism
and no intent to offend. This is what I said:

>>> Please don't top post. It messes up the normal flow of the messages
>>> and it really screws up people who read these messages in the archives.

What shocked me was J.Khoury's response. He stated that because I
suggested a format change to him, he was terminating the help totally
innocent and unrelated people were getting from him.

His basic message was: "I'm quitting and you can all blame that guy!".

That he would take an action to harm or even imply harm to people who
have nothing to do with me to get people upset with me, was incredibly
sleazy, hence my strong response.

I'm sorry for the disturbance to the list. I've been using the internet
and email type forums for more than 20 years and I have a personal
creed of tolerance and flexibility that encompasses my participation here.
